Tara is a mountain in western Serbia, known for its dense coniferous forests, clean air, and exceptionally rich natural environment. The highest peak is Kozji Rid (1,591 m). A large part of the mountain is protected as Tara National Park, home to rare species such as the Serbian spruce (Pančić’s spruce). Tara is famous for its viewpoints (Banjska Stena being the most well-known), the Drina River, canyons, Lake Perućac, the Rača Monastery, and numerous mountain trails. It is an ideal destination for relaxation, walking, hiking, and spending time in unspoiled nature.

Mitrovac on Tara is a well-known mountain children’s resort located within Tara National Park, famous for its clean air and stable climate. It is well suited for organizing camps and features infrastructure that includes sports facilities. The rooms are shared (multi-bed) and have private bathrooms. Girls and boys of the youngest age group (6 years old) are accommodated together in the same rooms. Other age groups are accommodated separately by gender.
